OBITUARY Maxine Jennie Trout February 27, 1927 – December 24, 2018 Maxine Jennie Trout passed away on December 24, 2018, in El Paso, Texas at the age of 91. She was born on February 27, 1927, in Oklahoma and married a Silver Star Recipient of WWII, John K. Trout (JK). They were married 48 years prior to his passing in 1992.

As a military wife, she lived in Austria and Alaska, not to mention many other places within the Continental United States. She was active in the Noncommissioned Officers Wives Club, Red Cross, and after her husband’s military retirement, she worked fulltime at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the Emergency Room. In their retirement years, although her husband tried to get her to stay home and told her no one would hire her after being out of the workforce for so long, she was hired the first day she went looking for a job and became a certified emergency room technician.

He never lived it down. She loved her home and children. She is survived by her son, ISG (Ret) John K. Trout, III (Constance); daughter, Ruth M. James (Joe); Three granddaughters: Diana Bryan, Elizabeth Castro, and Jennie James; one grandson, Jonathan James, and six great grandchildren: Meaghan Bryan, Rio Castro, Samuel Trout, Rain Castro, Rome Castro, and Austin James.

She is also survived by two sisters: Thelma Sodeman of Phoenix, AZ and Norma Yocum of Owasso, OK. She has many nieces and nephews all over the world. She was preceded in death by her husband, JK and daughter, Delilah.

A Graveside Service will be held on December 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery, 5200 Fred Wilson with Rev. Ben Hodge officiating where she will be laid to rest. Please visit our online register book at www.
