Obituary for Maxine M. Mullins Maxine M. Mullins “Mamaw”, one month prior to her 100th birthday, of Moore, SC, died Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born October 27, 1918, in Elkhorn City, KY, she was the daughter of the late Paris and Lou Emma Mullins and widow of John Phillip Mullins. Mrs. Mullins enjoyed doting on her loved ones, gardening and cooking.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church of Spartanburg. Surviving are her children, Jill Seay of Virginia Beach, VA and John P. Mullins (Theresa Fleming) of Spartanburg, SC; four grandchildren, Dr. Jeri Parris Perkins (Phil), Mr. Geno Seay, Mrs. Windy Crutchfield (Keith), and Dr. Patrick Mullins (Corinne); seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Jackie Gay Mullins Parris.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Rd. , Spartanburg, SC 29307, by The Rev. Robert Brozina and Mr. Geno Seay.

Visitation will follow at the graveside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church General Fund, 316 South Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29306; or First Presbyterian Church Capital Campaign Fund, 410 East Carolina Avenue, Clinton, SC 29325. The family is at their respective homes.
