May Elizabeth “Betty” Clark Macpherson August 01, 1932 – April 30, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Clark Macpherson, born August 1, 1932 in Shelby County, AL, daughter of Robert A. and Augusta Kunstler Clark, died peacefully in Jesup, GA, April 30, 2019. She is survived by son, Stephen Macpherson; daughter Pamela (Greg) Young and their children Beth, Stephen, and Robert (Jen) Young, and loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two infant sons, Kevin James and Bruce Stewart Macpherson; brothers Jim, John, and Albert Clark and sister Pamela C Wallace.

Mrs. Macpherson was a long-time member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church. She worked for the Jefferson County, Alabama Personnel Board during most of her career and ended by working in the District Attorney’s Bessemer Office. In retirement she continued her life-long interests, sewing quilts and clothes and cooking magnificent feasts for family and friends.

A very special thank you to all loving caregivers in her final illness. Funeral will be Friday, May 3rd at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bessemer at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be from 10 – 11 a.m. Burial at Highland Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer. Memorials to EWTN would be most appropriate.
