May’s Obituary May Griffith, 105, of Minneola, FL passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2019. May was born on March 18, 1913 in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of Albert and Ada Parvin and 1 of 6 children. She and her late husband, John were married in 1930 and resided in Minneola since 1976, with John preceding her in death in 1997.

May was former Mayor of Minneola, past Chairman of the City of Minneola Planning and Zoning, Past Minneola City Council Member, past Board member of Cooper Memorial Library and former member of the Clermont Kiwanis Club. She was also a member of the South Lake Presbyterian Church in Clermont. May is survived by her loving children, Shirley Sims of Ocoee, FL, Jack Griffith of E. Berlin, PA, Betty Jones of Mt.

Dora, FL and Bob A. Griffith of Newville, PA; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held for May from 4 to 6PM on Saturday, February 16th at Becker Funeral Home, with a service at 5PM. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials in May’s name to: Cooper Memorial Library, 2525 Oakley Seaver Dr., Clermont, FL 34711.
