Maythel D. Cooper August 12, 1925 – January 21, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Maythel D. Cooper, age 93, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in Bartow. Born August 12, 1925 in Fort Myers, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Lela (Shepard) Brown. Mrs. Cooper was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow.

She also was a member of the Garden Club of Bartow and a former Den Mother for the Boy Scouts of America. Mrs. Cooper is preceded in death by her husband, Dryden Cooper and her daughters: Sylvia Shoemaker and Michelle Blair. She is survived by her children: Gerry Burgess (Joe) of Bartow, Bill Cooper of Auburndale, and Nancy Weitman (Michael) of Niceville.

She also leaves behind her sister Denise Brown of Fort Myers, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 10:00am at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
