He passionately served & protected this country, and loved Land Cruisers, German Shepherds, and, of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers. A graduate of the Virginia Military Institute, Mac served eight years in the Marine Corps until, as a Captain, he went on to serve nearly 20 years of distinguished work as an FBI Special Agent.

Mac was a competitive athlete, participating in IronMan and other ultra endurance races. The miles in the pool, on the bike, and on the pavement demonstrated his incredible discipline and commitment to fitness and strength. Mac also loved the simple things: the quiet and peace of hiking the trails around Pt.

Reyes, California, and time with family and friends. Quiet, reserved and patient, Mac was a fixture of calm in any situation. He was a profoundly loyal friend with a fun-loving sarcastic wit.

Mac was a man of integrity, conscience and honor – these are the traits that all who knew him will carry forward. Mac is survived by his immediate and extended family on both West and East Coasts. Service will be held Friday, March 8, 2019 at 10:30 am at the Petaluma Veterans Building (1094 Petaluma Blvd.
