OBITUARY Melanie Irwin Wallwork July 31, 1952 – September 7, 2018 Melanie Irwin Wallwork, age 66, of Charlotte, NC, passed away September 7, 2018. Melanie was born July 31, 1952 to Anne Lambdin Irwin and the late Dwight Mercer Irwin. She is survived by her husband, Dexter A. Wallwork, Jr.; mother; two sisters, Karen Irwin Phanco and her husband, Martin D. Phanco and Holly Adair Irwin; and a brother, Allen Lambdin Irwin and his wife, Angell McGinn Irwin.

Melanie was a graduate of East Mecklenburg High School and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Melanie was the owner of Irwin Farm, Inc. dba Animal Kennel Care. Melanie was also a breeder of Norfolk Terrier, finishing over 26 champions, with a Canadian and international champion.

Melanie was also a decorative toll painter and stained glass art instructor. A private graveside service will be held at Sardis Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Mr. Wallwork wishes to thank the staff of Novant Health Hospice and Palliative Care for their compassionate care.
