Melissa Ann Peskey July 31, 1978 – December 13, 2018 Melissa Ann Peskey 40 of Hartford, SD died suddenly on Thursday, December 13, 2018. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Sunnycrest United Methodist Church in Sioux Falls. Visitation will be on Friday, December 28 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Hawarden, IA. Melissa was born on July 31, 1978 in Akron, IA, the daughter of Charles (Chuck) and Ellen Renken. She was the second of five children.

She was united in marriage to Ryan Peskey on May 1, 2004 in Sioux Falls, Sd. The couple resided on an acreage near Hartford, SD. She was employed as a realtor for Jeff Merrill.

She enjoyed numerous outside activities, exploring old real estate, spending time with her family and friends, especially taking care of her children, volunteering for CMN activities and she loved Goodwill shopping. Born: July 31, 1978 Death: December 13, 2018 Grateful for having shared her life are: her husband, Ryan; her children, Charlee and Axton; her mother, Ellen Renken; her siblings, Jessica Renken (Mark), Krista Renken (Aric), Kara Renken (Jeremiah) and Derek Renken; her nieces and nephews, Chloe, Quinn, Brooke, Isaac, Ty, Cash and baby Den Boer in 2019; several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, aunts, uncles and her father Charles (Chuck) Renken.

The family requests that donation be made to the Children’s Miracle Network in lieu of flowers.
