Melissa Lynn Osbeck May 28, 1980 – May 26, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Melissa Lynn Osbeck, 38 of Austin, Texas died Sunday May 26th. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Ms. Osbeck lived there until moving to Austin in 2008. She was an artist working in oil and water color and a sculpturist.

Ms. Osbeck won first prize out of 5000 applicants for a painting she submitted to “Bridge Back to Life” for recovering addicts. She loved pets by volunteering and eventually working for a dog kennel. Ms. Osbeck self-employed, washing tractor trailers in the Austin area.

Surviving are her parents Edward J. and Theresa (Sloane) Osbeck of Monroe Township, NJ, her two sisters Christine Nappa of Massapequa, NY and Elizabeth Prescott of Manalapan, NJ and her brother Edward Osbeck of Staten Island. Services will begin 9:30 a.m. Monday June 3rd at the Lester Memorial Home 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, NJ followed by a 10:00 a.m. funeral liturgy at St. James RC Church, Jamesburg. Burial will be in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick, NJ.

Visiting hours for family and friends will be Sunday 2-6 p.m. and Monday 8:30-9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
