OBITUARY Melody Angelina Abernathy April 5, 1947 – September 16, 2018 Play Tribute Movie Melody Angelina Abernathy, 71 of Cape Coral, FL passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. She was born on April 5, 1947 in Covington, Kentucky to Robert August Feder and Vivian Lucille (nee: Johnson) Fender. Melody married Glenn Abernathy on December 13, 1984 at Richwood Presbyterian Church in Richwood, Kentucky.

She worked as a Radiologist Technichian and was the CFO for ACT Computers. Melody volunteered delivering for Meals on Wheels and volunteered often at the Zoo. She enjoyed; painting, reading, music, taking walks on the beach, animal rescue and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

Melody when asked what her hobby was, she would always reply, “Photography” Melody is survived by her loving family including her six children, Lisa Holley (Ernie) Daut of Troy , Alabama, Bradley Daut of Florence, Kentucky, Pamela Daut (Ron Ciullo) of Florence, Kentucky, Gordon (Katina) Abernathy of Las Vegas, Nevada, Lisa Abernathy of Florence, Kentucky, Donald (Carrie Troxell)Abernathy of Cape Coral; grandchildren, Kierstyn Daut, Cameren Daut, Mia Ciullo, Angelina Ciullo, Lucian Klein, Kaitlyn Johnson, Serianna Anzualda; brother, Gary Fender of Florence; sister in law, Donna Patterson of Marysville, Ohio. Visitation will begin at 11:00am on Thursday at Coral Ridge Funeral Home, 1630 SW Pine Island Road, Cape Coral, FL 33991 with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm. Entombment will follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
