Mr. Mercer W. Trefethen, 73, of Dunnellon, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at his residence. Born in Sanford, Maine, he and his family moved to this area in 1990, coming here from New Hampshire. He retired after many years of operating his combination service station/convenience store.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife Irene, his two daughters Donna Spivey and Karen DeMeola, his brothers Timothy and Chris Trefethen, his sistersRae Reed, Judy Jean, and Priscilla Driver, and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother Warren Trefethen and his sister Joellen Cote.

Visitation for Mr. Trefethen will be held from 2-4 PM on Monday, July 2, 2018, at Roberts Funeral Home, 19939 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Dunnellon, Florida.
