Funeral service for Jean Cooper King, 85, will be Thursday, May 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Davis officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.

Mrs. King died on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born May 30, 1933, in Morgan County to Charlie Emmitt Cooper and Essie Estelle Hall Cooper. She was a Methodist, a homemaker and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her husband: Raymond Ernest King, her parents, a daughter: Brenda Joan Thompson, three brothers: James Cooper, Marvin Cooper and Raymond Cooper, and three sisters: Reba Self, Ruth Smith and Thelma Maddox. Survivors include: One Son: Jack Thompson (Sue) One Daughter: Sandra Allen One Sister: Betty Holifield Seven Grandchildren Twelve Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild Pallbearers will be Family & Friends.
