Michael A. Parsons, age 32, of Hart, passed away Friday, February 15, 2019 following an auto accident in Newaygo County. He was born March 14, 1986 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to Douglas Parsons and Paula (Eckholm).

Michael lived in several different places in his lifetime including Walkerville, Chesterfield, Michigan, and Florida. He returned to this area to live in Hart two years ago. Michael was employed by Nick’s Excavating Company in Freesoil.

He worked mostly as a carpenter. Michael loved the outdoors and two-tracking. He recently took up fishing and really enjoyed it.

He is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Parsons; his mother, Paula (Gary) Riedel; his girlfriend, Debbie Beaudrie; his grandparents, Robert and Gloria Schultz; his siblings, Mathew (Dannielle) Kennedy, Amanda (Nate) Russell, Jacob Riedel and Katelyn Riedel; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Douglas and his grandparents, Fred and Shirley Parsons. Visitation for Michael is Wednesday, February 20th, 3 pm at Harris Funeral Home in Shelby followed by a service at 4 pm also at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Hintz, officiating.

Interment will be in Elbridge Township Cemetery in the spring.
