He was born July 1, 1968 in New Kensington and was the son of the late Michael Andrew Sheftick, Sr., and the late June (Kish) Zembrzuski. Michael worked for Giant Eagle in Jeannette.

He is survived by his companion of 23 years, Christine M. VanTol, step-children, Colleen (Matt Belgrade) Mence and Keith Mence, grandchildren who he adored, Erik “Boogie”, Denver, and Nora, and sisters, Michelle (Robert) Ackerson of Palm Bay, FL, and Laina Kos of Lower Burrell. He was preceded in death by his son, Dillon Frank. There is no visitation.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director.
