He was raised in a family with three brothers and one sister, Darrel, Marcus, Brandon and Rhonda.

He attended and graduated from high school then settled on a career as a Substance Abuse Technician, working at the Jack Brown Center. He loved his job, loved helping people when they needed it most, and was faithful to his commitment of 17 years at his job. When he wasn’t working, he could be found playing a round of golf, playing cornhole, Cherokee marbles or he loved to fish.

He was a sports enthusiast and watched football and any other sporting competition on TV. Michael also enjoyed getting the answers to Wheel of Fortune. There was nothing better for Boco than a day spent in the company of his family and his grandchild.

He admired everything they accomplished. He married Veronica Jones in 1987 in Bunch, OK, and together they raised a family of one daughter and one son, Baron Michael O’Field and wife Tesina of Tahlequah and Kayce Jennifer O’Field, also of Tahlequah, OK. He had a wonderful grandson named Mason Samuel O’Field, and they were the best friends ever!

Boco was proud of his Cherokee heritage, and was a warm and kind hearted man, always ready to go the extra mile with those who needed his advice or company. A Christian by faith, the Lord called this good and faithful caregiver home from his many labors on November 28th, 2018 in Tahlequah, OK with his loved ones by his side. He was 52 years old.

He leaves a void that will be very hard to fill. Michael is preceded in death by his father James, one brother, Brandon Keith O’Field, and one sister, Rhonda Lynn Snow.
