Michael Darrell Gaster June 15, 1959 – January 01, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card On Tuesday, January 1st 2019, Michael Darrell Gaster, loving husband, father, son and friend passed away at the age of 59. Mike was born on June 15th 1959 in Fayetteville, NC to Pete and Shirley Gaster. He went on to marry Ruby Gentry in 1985.

He was a dedicated instructor at Fayetteville technical community college for 15 years and enjoyed being on the water, watching Nascar, football and college basketball. He was a friend to many and made people laugh wherever he went. He was truly one of a kind.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, two children, Clifton Robert Gaster of Sanford and Victoria Elysse Gaster of Broadway, his father, Pete Gaster, of Dunn, brother, Pete Gaster, of Wilmington and sister, Kim Updegrove, of Hope Mills and brother, Brian Gaster. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Shirley Hodges. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at the Buffalo Lake club house located at 255 Vic Keith Road, Sanford, NC 27332 at 3 pm.
