OBITUARY Michael DeBorde May 16, 1953 – December 28, 2018 Michael Dale DeBorde, 65, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 at his residence after an eight year battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born May 16, 1953 in West Liberty, Kentucky, to the late Denzil R. and Pauline (Bowling) DeBorde. Mike graduated from Fairborn High School in 1971.

He worked in construction and later retiring from Chrysler and Baer. Before Mike’s illness, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mike could tell joke after joke and never forgot a punch line.

From an early age, he was curious about how things worked and took apart every toy he ever hand sometimes he could put them back together and sometimes he couldn’t. Mike was a jack of all trades. He did plumbing, electrical and had a passion for working on cars.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Dearing DeBorde. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Betsy Poole DeBorde. Mike is also survived by his children, Aaron (Kristi) DeBorde of Santa Fe, Texas, Jamie (Erica) DeBorde of Fairborn, Ohio; two step-sons, Donnie (Buddy) and Billy Whitt of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren, Skylar DeBorde of Sante Fe, Texas, Braylan and Addison DeBorde of Fairborn, Ohio; siblings, Beverly (Harry) Marthaler of Fairborn, Ohio, Cathy (Gary) Beating of Sebring, Florida and Bryce (Kathy) DeBorde of Woodland Park, Colorado; nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.

Mike will be missed by all who loved him. Interment at Byron Cemetery will be held at a later date.
