Michael E. Broas of Walden, NY, passed away Tuesday, November 6, 2018, in Newburgh. He was 58. The son of Donald M. Broas and the late Arlene Richburg Broas, he was born June 07, 1960 in Newburgh.

Mike was an avid golfer all his life. He was on the 1978 Valley Central Golf Championship Team and was a lifelong member of Osiris Country Club, where he served on the board and as past treasurer. He was also a senior member champion.

Mike was a 1982 graduate of Allegheny College and worked as a car salesman for Healy Brother’s Automotive. Survivors include his father Donald M. Broas, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Arlene.

The family would like to thank Jay Mentz, Sandy Concors, and Terry & Sally Craft for all of their love and support over the past several months. They would also like to thank and acknowledge the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence staff for their outstanding facility and care. Visitation will be Friday, November 9, 2018 from 11am-12pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586.

A funeral service will follow at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.
