Obituary for MIchael Hunter Michael K. Hunter, age 71, of Columbus, Ohio, died peacefully at his home on May 27, 2018. He was a native of Rosemount, Clay Township in Scioto County. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Lee Hunter, his mother Pauline Mae (Miller) Hunter and his stepmother, Thelma Hilger Hunter all of Portsmouth.

Mike is survived by his companion, Donna Frabott of Grandview Heights, Ohio, and brothers Gary (Billie) of London, Ohio, Robert (Sue) of Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Jeffrey (Dr. Robin) of Columbus, Ohio and Mark (Virgie) Hunter of Portsmouth, Ohio. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mike is a 1965 graduate of Clay High School in Scioto County, Ohio.

He is a 1971 graduate of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio with a Bachelors Degree in zoology and chemistry. He spent his career in electrical sales at Loeb Electric, Wesco Electric and Lowe’s Home Improvement all in Columbus, Ohio. He loved sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.

Mike was an avid golfer. He was known for his easy-going nature and wonderful sense of humor. He was loved by all.

The funeral service will be held at Brant Funeral Home in Sciotoville, Ohio at 1 PM, Saturday, June 2, 2018. Family will receive friends at noon on June 2, 2018. Burial of his cremains will be immediately following the service at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth and Rosemount Cemetery in Clay Township.
