Michael J. Dippolito, 80, of The Villages, Florida died on Friday, December 7, 2018. Born on June 21, 1938 in Norristown, PA, he was the son of the late James and Pellegrina (Fannie) Arena-Dippolito. He graduated from Norristown High School.

He served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and was honorably discharged after being wounded in a training accident in Germany. He was a Systems Engineer at Unisys and retired after twenty-five years of service. In his retirement, he volunteered with disabled veterans at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

He was an Officer in the Italian-American War Veterans of the United States Post 8 Port Richey, Florida. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 6383. Surviving in addition to his loving companion Janet Joseph are: Daughter, Andrea Dippolito-Merone and grandson, Alexander Merone; Son, Michaelangelo Dippolito husband of Flo Chlapaty-Dippolito and their children Gary Chlapaty and daughter Olivia Chlapaty, Stefan Chlapaty, and Kateryna Dippolito.

Daughter, Desirae Dippolito-Murray wife of John Murray, and their sons Julian, Luka, Jude and Jonah. Son, Nicholas Dippolito husband of Kelly Keenan-Dippolito and their children Anthony, Grace and Vincent. Uncle Gasper Arena husband of Catherine (Cass).

Nieces, Mary Beto and Paula Harkin, and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemarie Dippolito and his brother James Dippolito. The family would like to offer special thanks to all those who participated in his care in the last several months, especially Don & Penny Howard.

A viewing will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm and Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 am. A Funeral Service with military honors will be held at St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum, 2400 DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
