Obituary for Michael John “Mike” Kotowski Michael John Kotowski, 56, of West Suffield and Suffield; passed away peacefully on June 6, 2018. Born in East Granby, on July 13, 1961 son of Frederick T. Kotowski and the late Sally J. (Garrity) Kotowski, he was a graduate of Suffield High School Class of 1979. Michael worked in construction as a carpenter, building many new homes around the area and throughout New England.

His worked took him to Nantucket, MA and Point Judith, RI where he thoroughly enjoyed his time. Mike always enjoyed playing baseball and hockey in his younger years, and grew to love softball, fishing and golf. In recent years he struggled with many illnesses which restricted his activities but not his enjoyment for life.

He filled his days with his many friends, and watching movies of all kinds. Mike will be remembered for his corny sense of humor, telling bad jokes, pulling pranks and picking on his many girl cousins. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family and especially family picnics.

Michael is survived by his father Frederick T. Kotowski of Windsor; sister Carol Kotowski of Huntingdon Valley, PA; aunt Joan Ferreira of Suffield, aunt Florence Eheander of Suffield and Uncle Bob Cotton of Chalfont, PA; many Kotowski/Garrity cousins: Eric, Paul, Suzy, Jan, Sandy, Kim, Mary Ann, Elaine, Kathleen, Sue, Trisha, Colleen, Maureen, Deb, Nancy and their families; and godson Patrick Saunders. He was predeceased by his mother, Sally J. (Garrity) Kotowski; paternal grandparents William and Leona (Beneski) Kotowski; maternal grandparents Vernon “Pete” and Margaret (Jessup) Garrity, aunt Jean and uncles Frank, Ernie, and Bucky. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 16 at Heritage Funeral Home, 1240 Mountain Road, West Suffield.

His family will receive friends from 10:00am-11:00am with a Memorial Service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Suffield. Memorial Donations may be made to Suffield Emergency Aid: 450 South Street, Suffield, CT, 06078.
