Obituary for Michael Joseph Gorecki Michael Joseph Gorecki, age 64, of Morocco, Indiana passed away at his home on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Michael was born in Chicago on December 13, 1953, the son of Edward and Doris (Ghilardi) Gorecki. He was a resident of Oak Lawn, Cook County, Illinois before moving four years ago to Morocco.

Michael was a graduate of the Oak Lawn (IL) public schools. He was formerly employed as a fork lift operator for 3 ½ years at Advanced Auto Parts, Remington, Indiana. He previously worked at Lexington Steel, Bedford Park, Illinois.

His marriage was in Cook County, IL in 1982 to Patricia R. Ohlund who survives. Michael enjoyed fishing, playing golf and was an excellent pool player. Surviving with his loving wife Patricia are two daughters, Jennifer (Clayton) Harwood of Lake Village, Indiana and Angela (Steven) Frailey of Rensselaer, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Amanda Milton, Jessica (Jalynn) Harden, Andrew Harwood, Kyle Macak, Claudia Harwood, Christian Frailey and Vincent Frailey; two great-granddaughters, Annabelle Milton and Violet Whisenand; his father, Edward Gorecki of Oak Lawn, Illinois, one sister, Lisa (James) Casteel of Evergreen Park, Illinois and a brother, James (Marianne) Gorecki of Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Gorecki. The Jackson Funeral Chapel of Rensselaer is honored to assist the family with cremation services. Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
