Michael Lane “Mike” Kennedy, age 55, resident of Mason, Tennessee, departed this life Thursday evening, January 31, 2019 at his home. Funeral Services for Mr. Kennedy will be held at 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Interment will follow in the Fayette County Memorial Park Cemetery on Highway 64.

A visitation for Mr. Kennedy will be from 12 to 1 P.M. Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the Peebles West Funeral Chapel at Oakland. Mike was born July 14, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee, the son of Kathleen Gooch Kennedy and the late Richard Leon Kennedy. He was a graduate of Bartlett High School and a fan of St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Ole Miss football.

He loved his dogs and enjoyed bowling. Mike was a member of the United States Bowling Congress, was always willing to help others and will be remembered for having a kind spirit. Mr. Kennedy is survived by his daughter, Olivia Kennedy of Ripley, TN; two sons, Craig Kennedy of Dunham, TN, Joshua Kennedy (Constance) of Hernando, MS; his mother, Kathleen Gooch Kennedy of Mason, TN; six sisters, Kara Cook of Mason, TN, Carol Kennedy of Tampa, FL, Patti Jeamby (Shorty) of Advance, MO, Jo Anne Ellison of Advance, MO, Janet Kennedy of Advance, MO, Jeanne Seeton of Advance, MO; his granddaughter, Addisyn Kennedy; and his fiancée, Susan Hannah of Mason, TN.

He was preceded in death by his son, William Kennedy and his father, Richard Leon “Rich” Kennedy. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Evan Cook, Joshua Kennedy, Nathan Hannah and Eric Watson.
