Obituary for Michael L. Davis Michael L. Davis was born November 20, 1972 to Charles and Dorothy Davis in Ford Heights, Illinois (formerly East Chicago Heights). Michael received his education through the Ford Heights/Chicago Heights Public School system, where he built friendships that will last a lifetime. Michael accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age.

He served as a faithful member of New Beginnings Full Gospel Baptist Church of Ford Heights up until he became ill. Michael was a chaperone for the youth on their outings and illustrator for the Sunday school lessons. He was a lover of music, all genres, especially hip-hop.

But he loved gospel tunes as well. He was employed by the Securitas Security, a job he loved. I gave him the opportunity to interact with people.

On July 16, 2018, Michael Davis departed this life. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Charles and Robbie Davis; a son Marcell Lavelle Davis; a nephew Asanti Keys; and a great niece De’shariah Armaiah Ratliff. Michael leaves to cherish his memories, his children Michael, April and Demarion; his parents Charles and Dorothy Davis; grandparents Leonard and Elnora Patterson; brother Tracy; three sisters Lavern (Karl) Mayberry, Gloria and Yolanda Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a host of friends.
