Michael Lee Phelps, 28 of Farmington, NM, passed away on May 12, 2019. He was born on January 5, 1991 to parents, Hardy Phelps and Loretta Phelps in Gallup, NM. He is survived by his parents, two sisters; Samantha Phelps and Whitney Platero; two brothers; Eric Miller and David Phelps; his grandmother; Annie Begay; and several nieces and nephews.

Mikey attended school at Rocky View Elementary School, JFK Middle School, Piedra Vista High School, and graduated from Rocinante High School in 2011. Mikey worked at Wendy’s in Farmington, A to Z tire and finally Basin Tire and Auto. Everyone remembers Mikey as a giant panda bear, standing 6’4” tall.

His smile was his greatest feature, and everyone always remembers his big full of life smile. Mikey loved going off road 4x4ing, and playing with his nieces and nephews. He also loved to sing and play with his dog “Happy, camping, shooting his gun, getting tattoos and his beard.

He lived his life to the fullest and was a hard worker. He loved his family and his fiancé, Priscilla. He brought joy to all that knew him.

His memorial services will be held at Catherine A. Miller Elementary School in Church Rock, NM on Sunday, May 19th at 12:00pm.
