Michael Jones Sr. was born on May 10,1950 in Neptune NJ, to the late David and Cecilia Jones. Michael was 1 of 6 children from this union, also having (1) half-brother (2) half-sisters. Michael is pre-deceased by his father David Sr. 1998, brother David Jr. 1999, brother Eddie 2006, mother Cecilia 2007, brother Leonard “Poppy” 2014 and half-sister Denise 2015.

“Mikey” as affectionately known, departed this life on March 12, 2019 at JSMC. He was raised in Asbury Park where he attended the Asbury Park Public School System. Mikey was employed by the Asbury Park Board of Education for 35 years.

Mikey was a loving, caring father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, who loved to play the harmonica. Mikey was also a devoted member of Christ Temple Church for many years. He leaves to cherish his memories his son:Michael Jones Jr and Wife Shavonne of Neptune, NJ.

(3)Grandchildren: Riz’zeer Jones, Kyree Jones and Amilah Jones. Sisters: Cecilia Jones-Ramseur and Husband Tedi, of Asbury Park. Celeste White and Husband Hosea, of Columbus, OH.

Half-Brother: Gregory Perry of Asbury Park, NJ, Half-Sister: Diane Shelton of Asbury Park, NJ and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
