Our loving husband, dad and “Gramps”, Michael Perry Anderson, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 75. Mike was born February 6, 1943 in Provo, Utah to Marvis Duke and Faye Perry Anderson. He grew up in Provo and graduated from Provo High School in 1961.

Growing up he enjoyed hunting, camping and working on cars with his dad. On June 22, 1962 Mike married the love of his life, Linda Child in Springville, Utah. The two of them met on a blind date and enjoyed 56 wonderful years together.

They are the proud parents of 3 children – their daughter Sheri and sons Bret and Lance. As a family they enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles and boating together. In 1967 Mike was drafted and proudly served 2 years in Vietnam.

Mike is survived by his sweetheart, Linda; children Sheri and Bret; daughter-in-law Rachel; grandchildren Riley (Ashlee), Aubrey (Will), Kacey, Jordan, Haley (Tyler), Maddy, Ally; and 7 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvis and Faye, and his youngest son Lance. Mike lived life to the fullest and had a quick wit and an amazing sense of humor.

His family was his life and he will be forever missed. Funeral services will be held Monday, Oct. 29th at 11:00 am at the Mapleton 17th Ward, 1600 So.

Highway 89. There will be a viewing at the church on Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Mike will be laid to rest at the Springville Evergreen Cemetery next to his son Lance.
