Michael Petro, 90, of Latrobe, died Monday December 3, 2018 in Excela Latrobe Hospital. He was born November 6, 1928 in Derry Twp. a son of the late Michael F. and Helen Sherba Petro.

Mike was a proud US Marine having served in Korea. He was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Catholic Church, Latrobe. He retired from Latrobe Steel in 1991 after 32 years of service.

Mike had been a constable for over 24 years and was a life member to the Kingston Veterans and Sportsmans Club and the American Slovak Society. In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Hardy Petro on December 8, 1993, a daughter Sandra Reeves, two grandsons; Joshua and Jason Reeves, a sister AnnaBelle Dicesere and two brothers; William and Robert Petro. He is survived by two daughters; Margaret Null (Dennis) of Milford, OH and Michele “Missi” McCrary of Latrobe.

Four grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. At Mike’s request all services and burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery were private. McCabe Funeral Home, 300 W. Third Avenue, Derry was in charge of arrangements.
