Michael S. Hoffmann, of Cayuga St., Homer, passed away following an extended illness on May 5, 2019 in the Guthrie Cortland Medical Center at the age of 67. Mike was born April 30, 1952 in Oneida, a son of the late John and Mary Eaton Hoffmann. For many years, he was employed by AGWAY as a distribution manager.

Mike was an avid car enthusiast and later worked, from 2002-2008, as the shop manager at Grant Street Repair, Cortland. Mike was an active member since 1972, of the Homer Fire Department, where he was serving a treasurer for Hose Co. #1. Surviving is his wife of 44 years, Pamela Rogers Hoffmann; two sons, Nick R. Hoffmann and his fiancée, Kortni McGowan of Whitney Point and Daniel P. Hoffmann of Homer; five grandchildren and his brother, Peter (Doris) Hoffmann of Homer.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved chocolate lab “Mocha”. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church, 14 Copeland Ave. , Homer, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev.

Paul Alciati. Interment will follow in Glenwood Cemetery, Homer. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
