Obituary for Michael S. Jenkins • Michael S. Jenkins, age 78, of Cary, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2018 at Journey Care in Barrington after a battle with colorectal cancer. He was Born April 27, 1940 to the late Stuart and Sophie Jenkins in Waltham, Massachusetts. After High School he served 4 years in the US Navy.

On July 23, 1962, he married the love of his life, Carol Heiman, and he relocated to Chicago. He worked as an electronic technician for Zenith Electronics in Chicago and then after moving to Cary in 1976 started his own television repair business where he was known locally as “TV Mike”. Before Carol passed they enjoyed traveling to see friends, geocaching, and antiquing as well as trying their luck at casinos along the way.

His Lady Luck tattoo served him well. He enjoyed reading, playing chess, and watching baseball. He was a Chicago Cubs fan but still rooted for some of the teams out East.

He was preceded in death by his bride Carol, his parents , brother Stanley, and sister Barbara. He is survived by his sister Heather Cziria, his children Colleen(Dan) Sheahan, Michael (Juliana) Jenkins, Michelle (Ken) Schmidt, grandchildren Kelsey, Jake, Dana, David, Joey, and Ben. Services will be private for the family for Michael.
