Obituary for Michael Stephen Grumboski Michael Stephen Grumboski of Miami, Florida, 73, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, peacefully, in his home. He is survived by his companion, Robert Clappse; brother, Ronald Grumboski, sister-in-law, Diana Grumboski, nephew, David Grumboski; nieces, Lori Grumboski Kane, Leslie Grumboski Marucci, Judanne Grumboski Tine, Licia Grumboski Muttillo and Claudine Richards Cederstrom; great nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was born in Dearborn, Michigan, in early childhood he moved to New Hartford, New York where he grew up.

Michael moved on and settled as a lifelong resident in Miami, Florida. He attended Mercy School of Nursing in New York where he received a Bachelor’s Degree and furthered his education at Long Island University with a Master’s in Science. His career as a nurse carried him up through retirement.

Providing health care to private residents, working in hospitals and retiring from the VA hospital in Miami, he took much pride and dedication as a nurse. Michael remained very close with his family in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, along with the many friends he had and valued dearly. Long known for his calm, simple manners in life, he was a loving, humble man who was well-respected.

Michael also had a passion for animals (especially cats). He served as a Deacon and was a dedicated member to Miami Shores Church, where he was welcomed and loved by many. May there be peace within, may you trust your highest power that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
