Michael W. Walters, 56, of Oil City passed away Thursday May 2, 2019 at UPMC NW in Seneca. He was born in Oil City on July 10, 1962 and was the son of Andrew Walters and Shirley Pleger Walters Beichner. Michael graduated from Oil City High School and went on to join the U.S. Army.
He worked at Frontier Foundry, Vision Quest, Matric, and most recently at IPEG. Michael was a great artist; he just took up guitar and wrote his own music. He was also an avid outdoors man, played in a dart league, enjoyed Kung Fu and Tai Chi, and the company of his dog Brian.
He is survived by his two children; Michael A. Walters of Pittsburgh and Zoe K. Walters of Myrtle Beach S.C. Michael is also survived siblings, Shirley (Kathy) Tock of Oil City, George Walters and wife Alice of Oil City, Georgetta Graham and husband John of FL, Dennis Walters and wife Mary Margaret of Oil City, David Walters and wife Shelly of Oil City, and Tommy and Missy Beichner. Also many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Funeral Home on Sunday May 5, 2019 at 1 PM until 2 PM.
There will be a time of sharing at 2PM. In Lieu of flowers the family has asked any donations in Michaels name to be made to the Venango County Humane Society. The Reinsel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
