Michele “Michael” Torrillo, 85, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, May 2, 2019, while surrounded by his loving family. Michele was a long time resident of the Marion Section of Jersey City. Michele worked for NJ transit before retiring after 25 years of service.

He loved to cook, tend to his garden, and make wine; but most of all, he loved and was devoted to his family. He was the loving husband of Carmela Torrillo for 44 years. Beloved Father of: Antonio Torrillo and his wife Doralynn; Nicola Torrillo and his wife Cheryl; Carolina Torrillo; and Angelo Torrillo and his wife Jennie.

Cherished Nono (Grandfather) of: Kenneth, Ashley, Michael, Gabriella, Angelo, Jr., Gianna, and Mariana. Dear brother of: Caterina, Concetta, Rosalia, and Francesco. Also surviving are many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

A Visitation for Michele will be held on Monday, May 6, 2019, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home (For GPS use address: 16 Stagg St., Jersey City). Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, 10:00 AM at the funeral home, followed by an 11:00 AM Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Jersey City.

Entombment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City.
