Obituary of Michelena Traina Michelena Traina (nee Feola), age 95, passed away peacefully at home on October 17, 2018. She was born on June 27, 1923 in Rumford, Maine. She and her family moved to Paterson, New Jersey in 1927 where she grew up and attended Eastside Highschool.

She studied to be a beautician and would eventually obtain her license to become a professional hairdresser. She would then move on to become a teacher of beauty culture at Como Beauty School in Paterson and Wilford Academy in Passaic. She married her husband, Joseph Traina on January 13, 1946 upon his return from Europe after World War II.

She and Joseph raised their two sons, Frank and Anthony, in Paterson until moving to Clifton in 1984. She is survived by Frank and his wife Marianne (nee Emmolo), and her son, Anthony. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Joseph, Vincent, Michele, Mark, Christopher and Carolyn, and her 3 great grandchildren, Grace Elizabeth, Lily Christine and Marcella Francesca.

Michelena is pre-deceased by her husband Joseph Traina, (2007), and daughter-in-law, Lorraine Traina (nee Firrincieli), (2011). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at St. Bonaventure Church, 174 Ramsey Street, in Paterson, New Jersey at 10:15am. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects at the church at 9:30am prior to the mass.
