OBITUARY Mr. Mike Gibbs April 3, 1947 – September 27, 2018 Mike was born on April 3, 1947, in Corsicana, Texas, to parents Donald Warren and Hilah (Blankinship) Gibbs and entered into eternal rest on September 27, 2018, at the age of 71. Mike graduated from Mabank High School, The University of Texas at Austin, and The University of Texas School of Law. He worked as an attorney for 45 plus years.

Mike was a member of the State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association and Texas Bar Association. He loved traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike was a leader in the Boy Scouts of America and a member of The Order of the Arrow, which is the National Honor Society of the Boys Scouts.

He was a member of the Mabank Church of Christ. Mike was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother; who will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mike was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Philip Gibbs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Louise Busby Gibbs, of Dallas, daughter Kayla Scott and husband Carter of Sweetwater, son Chris Gibbs and wife Michelle of Dallas, daughter Michelle Kimble and husband Ken of San Angelo, son John Gibbs and wife Anna of Austin, grandchildren; Amy Scott Hickman, Erin Scott Eshleman, Parker Scott, Colton Scott, Avery Scott, Emma Scott, Kane Kimble, Caroline Gibbs, Ty Gibbs, Sarah Kate Gibbs and Landry Gibbs, great-grandchildren; Halle, Jhett, Brinlee and Presly, sister Donna Mengel of Mabank, numerous nieces and nephews, other loving family members and many more friends.
