Mike Middleton, 68, a life long resident of Newkirk, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at his home. Mike was born on March 15, 1951 to Oscar Middleton and Betty Martin in Webb City, MO. He was raised in Joplin, MO most of his childhood.

At the age of 18 Mike was drafted into the Vietnam War and had an honorable discharge from the Army. Mike enjoyed getting his hands dirty, doing yard work and gardening and loved to fish and camp any chance he could get. He was known for his abundant love for his grandkids and great-grandkids.

Mike also loved OU football. Mike was preceded in death by both his parents; two brothers: Don and Sonny; two sisters: Diane and MaryDee. He is survived by his wife Linda Middleton, they wed on July 10, 1969, in Newkirk.

Together they have 3 children with spouses: Sherry and Walt White, Mike Jr. and Rebecca Middleton, Angie and Perry Estes. Mike is also survived by multiple brothers and sisters. Mike had 8 grandkids with spouses: Jeremy and Madi White, Dakotah Middleton and Amaraye Hartley, Dalton Cheeseman, Kevin Middleton and Ashley Wickens, Kayla White and Dawson Leatherman, Taylor Middleton, Dyllon Cheeseman and William Middleton.

Mike has 2 great-grandkids: Wyatt and Rhyann. The family will be celebrating the life of Mike for family and friends at the Carolyn Renfro Center 445 Fairview Ave in Ponca City on Sunday May 26th from 2-4.
