Obituary for Mildred A. “Millie” Deneault (Doody) Print WATERFORD Mildred (Millie) A. Deneault, 88, of Valley View Ave. passed away peacefully at home Monday January 21, 2019 after a long illness. Born in Cohoes, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Anna Mickritz Doody.

She was a 1948 graduate of Cohoes High School. Millie had been employed for 24 years by the former New York Telephone Co. and retired in 1989. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She looked forward to her weekly lunch and shopping trips with her sisters. Millie also enjoyed camping and in later years traveling to Ocean City, NJ, Cape Cod, and Disney with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a of great joy.

Although afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis Millie never let her limitations keep her down. She consistently focused on what she could do and not what she couldn’t, always with a smile and a sparkle in her eyes. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years Roland J. Deneault and is the devoted mother of David R. Deneault (Sandy) and Sharon A. Bova (Rick) of Waterford.

She is the sister of Alice Lyons of Loudonville and Dorothy Bellerose of Troy. She is the proud grandmother of Robert and Daryll Deneault, Brooke O’Brien, Jillian, and Matthew Bova and great grandmother of Jules, Josh, Landon, Mia, and Brody. She was the proud aunt of several nieces and nephews in the Bellerose, Carter and Breault families.

With love and gratitude to her aide, Ronnie, who treated her with compassion, humor, and exceptional care. As well as Katelynn for her kind heart in caring for Millie. A special thank you to community hospice for their help and guidance, along with Nicole, Lori, Jill, and several volunteers.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 9:15 from the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St. (Rte. 32), Waterford and at 10 am at St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, Cohoes. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford.

Relatives and friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm. Parastas will be held at 6 pm. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Community Hospice, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 or the Arthritis Foundation, 1717 Central Ave.
