Mildred’s Obituary Graveside service for Minnie Mildred Outhier, 94, of Okeene, will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 8, 2019, at the Homestead Cemetery with Memorial service at the Methodist Church in Okeene at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. Mildred Outhier was born April 24, 1924 in Okeene, Oklahoma, the seventh child born to Louis Charles and Callie (Thurman) Westfahl and passed from this life March 2, 2019 at the Okeene Hospital in Okeene, Oklahoma. Mildred grew up in the Homestead area and graduated from Homestead School. Mildred married Clarence Outhier on October 7, 1945 in Homestead, while Clarence was still in the Army.

Clarence received an honorable discharge in February of 1946 and the couple settled back down in Homestead. She was a longtime member of the Homestead Bible Church. Clarence passed December 15, 2005.

Mildred loved to make cinnamon rolls, cross stitching, and playing games with the great grandchildren. She will be truly missed. Mildred is survived by two sons, Tony L. Outhier and Charles L. Outhier, eight grandchildren, three of whom they raised; Donna Nightingale and husband Ralph, Terry and Galon Clifford and five more grandchildren, Charles Outhier, Jr, Stefanie Outhier, Audrey Outhier, Toni Lea Outhier and Karl Leonard Outhier, one brother Harold Westfahl, four sisters; Helen Westfahl, Marjorie Winter, Thelma McKinnis, and Barbara Brownsworth, 17 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, with one on the way, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to two very special ladies, Sandra and Darlene, for the countless hours sitting with her and also to Dr. Talley, Jeremy Hurford and the nurses at the Okeene Hospital for taking such tender, loving care of our loved one. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence, two daughters, Sharon Kay and Sally Ann, four brothers and six sisters. Memorials may be made to the Okeene Hospital with the funeral home acting as custodian of the funds.
