Mildred Peters Druckhammer December 16, 1932 – December 23, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Mildred Peters Druckhammer, 86, of Navasota, died Sunday evening, December 23, 2018, at Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Navasota. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place 10:00 am Thursday, December 27, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1530 E. Washington Ave.
, in Navasota, with Pastor Matthias Dinger officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Druckhammer, Rob Bailey, Josh Sechelski, Roger Burns, Gary Gerke and John Dockery.
Named as honorary pallbearers are Bobby McGee, Edward Molnari, Mike Lawson, Milton “Pete” Peters and Gus Gutierrez. Mildred was born December 16, 1932 in Washington, TX to Otto C. and Meta Renn Peters. She was baptized and confirmed at Friedens United Church of Christ in Washington and married Gilbert William Druckhammer July 12, 1953 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota .
Mildred worked for a number of years for Elliott’s Drug Store and continued working when it changed to Ketchum’s Drug Store until it closed in 1995. She then went to work for Sand & Shells Day Care and later for A Bright Beginning Child Care. Mildred cared for hundreds of “her babies” until her full retirement in December of 2009.
Mildred was a long time faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Navasota. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gilbert, sisters, Ramona Boetler and Adell Lawson, a sister-in-law, Lillian Peters and brothers-in-law, Fred Boetler and Ted Lawson. Survivors include her son, Gilbert Ray Druckhammer and wife Glenda; grandchildren, Mandy Bailey and husband Rob and Jason Druckhammer and wife Anne; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Druckhammer and Josh Sechelski and Erin P. Bailey,; great-great grandchildren Millie and Cutter Sechelski; brothers Milton Peters of Washington, Odis Peters of Splendora and Otto Peters, Jr. of Bryan and numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of usual remembrances, the family has requested memorials in Mildred’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1530 E. Washington Ave. , Navasota, TX 77868.
