The graveside funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Jerry Harrell officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

She spent 30 years working with her husband at Decatur Fence Company. Mildred was a member of Eldorendo Baptist Church. She believed in keeping up with the news so Mildred was the clearinghouse of any details of current events for her family and friends.

She enjoyed gardening and fishing. Her favorite part of fishing was eating catfish fresh off the catch. Mildred could shop until she dropped in her day and relaxed by watching her favorite television shows and, of course, the news.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Sarajo Smith Lee and her husband, Chet; her grandchildren, Corbett Alday, Jarrod Alday, Jennifer French, Jason Smith, Ricky Sullivan, Richard Sullivan; and her fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Smith, Jr.; and her children, Ronald A. Smith and Brenda Sue Alday.
