Obituary of Mildred Street Mildred Street, 65, of Bay City, our humorous, loving, and most devoted mama, granny, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Mildred was born in Ashboro, North Carolina on January 31, 1954, the daughter of the late Thomas “Tom” and Juanita “Sis” (Ledwell) Street. When the family moved north for work, Mildred followed, and her roots became established in Michigan.

She attended Bay City Central and Delta College and was employed by The Cory Place, where she touched the lives of countless runaway teens. A true servant of the Lord, Mildred connected with people from all walks of life. She was a faithful supporter of Trinity Broadcast Network and enjoyed drawing, painting, knitting, and bowling.

She was also a wonderful singer, with a beautiful voice. Her contagious laugh and love for her family and friends will live on for generations to come. Mildred leaves to carry on her legacy, her two children: Kevin (Angela) Street and Jovaka (Donald) McNeal; grandchildren, Swedin Street, Sarena Smith, Brittny Tesner, and Braydon Duby; great-grandchildren, Kathleen Duby, Brooklyn Duby, Eli Martin, and Roman Martin; siblings, Barabra Brown, Polly Street, Thomas “Andy” Street, Jesse Ledwell, and Margaret Green; father of her children, Timothy Lowery, along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was welcomed home to heaven by her sister, Dixie Ledwell. Mildred’s family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday, March 11, 2019 from 3:30 PM until Mildred’s 4:30 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd. , Hampton Twp.
