FITCHBURG-Milena Fiala, age 89, of Fitchburg, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on May 1, 1929, in Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Josef Rathousky and Marie Rathouska.

Milena married George Fiala on June 23, 1951 in Prague. They emigrated to the US in 1967. Milena worked as a Travel Agent for Lake Forest Travel.

She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, mushroom hunting, berry picking, and wine making. Milena canned all of… Read More » her vegetables. She loved to do crossword puzzles and traveled the world.

She spoke five languages. Milena had friends all over the world. Milena is survived by three sons, Ales Fiala, Martin (Alena) Fiala, and Daniel (Jenny) Fiala; grandchildren, Peter (Lisa) Fiala, Jillian (McKenzie) Forseth, Suzanna (David) Billinghurst, Kaylene (Chadwick Guyton) Fiala-Guyton, Michael Fiala, Thomas (Dina) Fiala, Joseph Fiala, Jana Fiala, Jonathan Fiala, and Kenneth Fiala; great-grandchildren, Brianna Sweney, Rollie Fiala, Ezra Fiala, and Devin Fiala; sister, Jana Rathouska; nephew, Petr Rathousky; great-nephew, Thomas; and her beloved cats, Mourek and Micka.

She was preceded in death by her spouse; and parents. A Memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON FITCHBURG FUNERAL HOME, 2950 Chapel Valley Rd. , Fitchburg, on Saturday, Nov.

17, 2018, from 3 p.m until 7 p.m. The family will be sharing stories at 4 p.m. A private Burial will take place in the spring.
