Milka Stambolic passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma with her daughter at her side at 4:23 am on February 26, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. She was born on July 23, 1950 to Djordje and Dusanka Vukmirovic (nee Devernja) in Putinci, Serbia. Milka was a long time resident of Chicago, Illinois where she was a Cardiac Nurse and enjoyed learning about medicine.

She loved to cook, bake, and spend time with her only granddaughter Natalia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, & Aunt to many. She is survived by her husband Milorad Stambolic, daughter Vesna Zeiler (Glenn), and granddaughter Natalia Milka Maria Zeiler, brother Dusko Vukmirovic (Ljiljana), sister Slobodanka Trifunov (Slobodan), and brother Perica Vukmirovic.

The visitation will be held on Friday, March 1, 2019 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Muzyka & Son Funeral Home, 5776 W. Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, IL 60630 with a Pomen (Wake Service) being held at 7:00 p.m. The Opelo (Funeral Service) will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at New Gračanica Serbian Orthodox Monastery, 35240 N.
