Obituary for Millie E. Hartle Millie Eileen (Frey) Hartle, age 76, of Upper Sandusky, Ohio died peacefully surrounded by her family at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio on Thursday, May 24, 2018. She was born near Upper Sandusky on July 11, 1941 to Albert and Viola (Kelbley) Frey who preceded her in death. On February 19, 1966, in the Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation, Cary, Ohio, she married D. Terry Hartle, who survives in Upper Sandusky.

She is also survived by her children Michelle Hartle Honer of Hilliard, Christopher (Kim) Hartle of Hilliard, six grandchildren: Hans, Hannah and Halle Hartle, Gretchen and Rutger Honer and one step grandchild Katelin Honer. Two brothers, Eugene (Jean Ann) Frey, Upper Sandusky, James Frey, Columbus, sister, Margie Bumb, Tiffin, two sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Frey and Martha Frey, Upper Sandusky. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis “Willie” Frey, Richard “Dick” Frey and sister Mary Ellen White.

Millie graduated from Forest High School in 1959, where she was a Majorette in the band, crowned Forest HS Homecoming Queen and “Queen of Queens” of Northwest Ohio. She lived in Los Angeles, CA for two years while working for Northrop Corporation. Millie attended Marion Technical College, served as President of the Upper Sandusky High School Music Boosters, as well as, the Secretary at St. Peters Catholic Church for many years.

In 2004, Millie became founder and President of Lady M Ltd., a bridal veil and accessory business with a design studio near her home in Upper Sandusky. Her desire to own a bridal shop, along with her daughter, led to the purchase of Paper Occasions in 2009, a bridal boutique, located in Historic Dublin, Ohio, which now specializes in Wedding Gowns, Custom Veils and Custom Wedding Invitations. Her business background came from 18 years of experience in Inside Sales and Distribution with Guardian Industries, a major glass, automotive and building product manufacturing company located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.

A member of Transfiguration of the Lord Catholic Church (St. Peters) of Upper Sandusky, Millie loved life, spending time with her children and attending her Grandchildren’s sporting events, school musicals and concerts. Most known for her loving devotion of Family and keeping the tradition of the Frey Family Thanksgiving and Christmas. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at 11:00 am in The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation,315 Clay Street, Carey, OH, with Fr.

Raymond Mallett, OFM Conv. officiating. A Luncheon will follow at 12:00 Noon in the Shrine Cafeteria.

All who knew her are invited to attend and share a memory at the luncheon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to OSU James Cancer Research Center in care of Bringman Clark Funeral Home 226 E. Wyandot Ave. Upper Sandusky, OH 43351.
