Milton’s Obituary Milton Bruce Shelfer, 78, of Okeechobee, Florida, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his wife at their home on January 10, 2019. He was born March 24, 1940 in Arcadia, FL and had been a resident of Okeechobee for 30 years. Milt was a master wood worker and custom carpenter.

He loved gardening and was an avid pool player. Milt was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #4137 and the American Legion. Mr. Shelfer was a proud veteran of the United States Army.

He leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife and soulmate of 14 years, Margie Shelfer; step-children, Ann (Jeff) Ferguson of Marion, IN and Richard (Stacy) Majeski of Macedon, NY; grandchildren, Zach, Davon, Geordi and Sam and his beloved dog, Mickey. Milt will be deeply missed by many extended family and dear friends. A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
