Minnie E. (Horn) Demarest Formerly of New Brighton Minnie E. Demarest, 99, of Ephrata, Pa. , formerly of New Brighton, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018, at Ephrata Manor, Ephrata, Pa. Born July 22, 1918, in Freedom, Pa.

, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Elizabeth (Musnug) Horn. In addition to her parents, Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, Martin A. Demarest; three sisters, Goldie Cordner, Janet Rhen and Elsie Sedich, and half-brother, Edward Garrity. Surviving are her three nephews, Richard Rhen, Terry Rhen and Frank Sedich; niece, Shirley Myers; great nephew, John Dean, and great niece, Christine Kessler.

Friends will be received Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. in the J&J SPRATT FUNERAL HOME, 1612 Third Ave. , New Brighton, www. jjsprattfh.com.

Pastor Donald W. MacNeil, officiating. Private interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca, Pa.
