Minnie Montrose Woodson July 08, 1941 – April 29, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card FLORENCE – Minnie Montrose Woodson, 77, died Monday, April 29, 2019, after an illness. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019, at Mount Hope Cemetery, directed by Waters-Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

She was born in Florence, SC, the eighth child of fourteen born to the late William Allen and Frances Lorena Carmon Montrose. She worked for Sears for many years, but was a retired switchboard operator with Carolina Healthcare. Mrs. Woodson was a member of Florence Bible Chapel.

She is the wife of William “Bill” Norman Woodson, Jr., who claims she was the “best cook this side of the Mississippi”. She was blessed with four children, Tammy Pattilo (Steve), Cindy Tucker (Russell), Suzette Belk (Kenny), and Norman Woodson (Jessica); seven grandchildren, Bambi Addison, Desiree McLaughlin, Rusty Tucker, Jessica Helms, Quincy Belk, Joshua Belk, and Lydia Woodson; eight great-grandchildren, Kalysta Addison, Skyler Tucker, Autumn Addison, Benjamin McLaughlin, Sierra McLaughlin, Tucker Addison, Nathaniel Belk, and Holden Peek. Her surviving siblings are W. A. Montrose, Ida Edmonds, Betty Green, Mickey Montrose, and Brenda Windham.
