Minnie P. Parton, 95 of Sunnyview Nursing Home, formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away November 13, 2018. Minnie was born September 17, 1923 in Templeton PA, she was the daughter of Westly and Susie Harriger. Minnie married Frank R. Parton in July of 1942.

Together the couple had two children Beverly and Ken. Minnie was a devoted housewife and mother. She enjoyed her family and preparing meals and baking pies and rolls.

Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren all looked forward to her baked goods. She was an avid sewer and loved quilting and embroidery. Minnie is survived by her daughter Beverly (Eagal) Parton of Butler, her son Ken Parton and his wife Marcia of Slippery Rock.

Six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents she was preceded by her husband, one sister and four brothers. Family will receive friends at the Jamison-McKinley Funeral Home, 117 North Main Street, Harrisville on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1-3 with funeral services to take place at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at the Slippery Rock Cemetery. Minnie’s family would like to thank Sunnyview Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Minnie, especially on the staff on the Sunflower Floor. Friends can email condolences by visiting www.
