Miriam E. Young Dapp, 78, Mill Hall, passed away Monday, December 10, 2018. She was born in Lock Haven on April 27, 1940 to George W. and Sarah C. Confer Baney. Miriam was united in marriage to Earl K. Young, Sr. in 1954 who preceded her in death in November 1993, they celebrated 39 years of marriage.

She is also preceded in death by her husband Loren Dapp in 2013. Miriam was retired from the Woolrich store. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her precious dog, Pud and her cat Twerp.

She enjoyed doing plastic canvas crafts and reading. She was a member of the Beech Creek American Legion Auxiliary. Miriam is survived by one son; Earl K. (Nancy) Young, Beech Creek, two daughters; Amelia (Leroy) Geyer, and Rebecca Young and (Bill Passell) of Lock Haven.

Two grandchildren; Richard (Amy) Geyer of Howard, Krista (Chad) Jennings of Canton. Four great grandchildren, Lacey and Michael Geyer, Driver and Charlie Jennings. In addition to her husbands, Miriam was preceded in death by two grandsons; David Geyer and Thomas Cummings.

A memorial service for Miriam Young Dapp will be held Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM in the Yost-Gedon Funeral Home & Cremation Services, LLC, 121 W. Main St., Lock Haven. Officiating will be Pastor Susan Champion of the Bald Eagle Presbyterian Church, Mill Hall. Family and friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
