Obituary for Miss Rachel Pauline Westlund Westlund, Rachel P. beloved daughter, sister, and friend, went to be with her Jesus on Friday, July 6, 2018. She was 43. Rachel was born in Richfield to Milt and Darlys (Olson) Westlund and was the youngest of four children.

She attended Fraser and Richfield Schools, Partnership Rerdzt/s, and Workabilities, where she will be remembered as a bright and joyful presence. Rachel was happiest when she was listening to music, and she loved school, church, weekends at the family cabin, and horseback riding. Preceded in death by her dad, she is survived by: her mom, Darlys; her best friend and caregiver, Pam Brunkow; her brothers, Jeff (Michelle) Westlund and Rand (Ann) Westlund; her sister, Janine Westlund; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Rachel’s memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 11:00 am at Wooddale Church, 6300 Shady Oak Road, Eden Prairie, with luncheon to follow. The family will greet friends at the church during the hour preceding the service. Private interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis.

The Westlund family extends its gratitude to Rachel’s health care teams for their attentiveness, encouragement, and many kindnesses. Memorials may be made in Rachel’s name to Christ for People with Disabilities (christforpeople.com); or Wooddale Church Worldwide Missions (wooddale.org); or Gillette Lifetime Specialty Healthcare (gillettechildrens.org).
